Field Note: Nestled in the hillside of the property nearest to the blackberries that are naturally growing along the garden rails that were originally installed by our family friend Roberta. Those blackberries have survived hundreds of Sedona summers and still, somehow, return every year. The blackberries, unusually abundant this year, were picked by a friend of ours in a frenzy of sheer joy.

The Dragonfly Cottage was first established in 2003 as an open garage that slowly began to become converted into the unit it is today. Originally created for Grandma Sunshine as a private suite when she was in town, it later turned into an artists studio and then became Wendy’s place whenever she came into town after leaving for a minute.
Field Note: We’ve recently started reforming the entrance to create better garden beds and reestablish some native plants to the area.

Our kitchenette features a small cooktop, a few staples, and Graza Olive Oil. We also offer Seventh Generation Dish Soap and Hand Soap which is safer for our septic system.
Our bedding is sourced for its comfort, breathability, and organic components. All bedding is 100% cotton and 100% bamboo. Coverlets are sourced for their sustainability and durability. All items are professionally laundered and upcycled when staining occurs.
All of our bath products are environmentally safe, synthetic free, paraben-free, dye-free, and grey water safe. This means they sometimes require a little shake before use. We opt for these type of products to ensure our well system, septic system, and grey water systems say safe for gardening and planting around the property.
